Who We Are
Osprey Spill Control was founded in 2009 by our President Mary Meyer. OSC manufactures, markets, and distributes Osprey Sorbents, a recycled cellulose-based sorbent system used to aid in the recovery of oil and other hydrocarbon-based liquid products released into the environment in the event of an oil spill. OSC also offers training in oil spill remediation as well as consultation. Mrs. Meyer has developed an environmentally friendly product to clean up all types of hydrocarbon based spills offering the highest sorption rate (30X) in the market. OspreySorb® is non-toxic, non-corrosive, hydrophobic, price competitive and safe for humans, animals and plants.
Misson Statement
Osprey Spill Control strives to improve the environment with an innovative product, suitable for marine, fresh water, land and industrial spill applications. ASTM F762-12 testing has proven its 30:1 absorption ratio.
Osprey Spill Control provides training for levels I, II & III oil spill responders. In addition, OSC provides consultation services for your spill response needs.
Mary Meyer
Mary leads the Osprey Spill Control management team. Meyer boasts a clinical background, augmented by highly successful positions and experiences in the medical sales environment prior to the creation of her own company.
Mary Meyer, a visionary President of OSC, attended James Madison University and received her BS/B.S.N. from Marymount University. Having over 24 years of experience in the medical industry, Mary has been recognized as a top sales representative for companies such as Abbot Laboratories, C.R. Bard and Birtcher Medical Systems. Since 1991, Mary has had a “hands on” approach successfully running several ISO 9001 and 13485 manufacturing companies as well as being the driving force behind Surgical Innovations US and OSC. OSC’s commitment to total quality in all areas of corporate operations led to its investment over the past several years in the infrastructure necessary to support and sustain its aggressive growth projections.
